CityTarget Set for Grand Opening - July 25, 2012

Target will take its first big steps towards bringing its assortment closer to the urban shopper on Wednesday this week, with the unveiling of the first CityTarget. Similar to Walmart’s Urban 90 format, the new CityTarget will range from about 60,000-100,000 square feet (approximately 1/3 the size of a traditional 150,000 square foot Target).  What is most intriguing about the new Target stores, however, is their proximity to the heart of major metropolitan areas – including: Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

RetailNet Group’s analysts will be on the scene this week to get the inside scoop on the new store format.  Stay tuned for detailed analysis on the much anticipated unveiling…
