Le Drive: Intermarche’s Click and Collect Service in France

Le Drive - Intermarche's 'click & collect' Service

Le Drive, Intermarche’s version of the Drive format in France, has a similar pitch to that of the newer Casino Express format.  Both advertise the ability pay and have the items that were purchased online placed in your car for you – all within a 5 minute timeframe.

The major difference between this model and the Casino Express model, however, lies in the location.  All of the Le Drive locations today share a location with an Intermarche store, unlike Casino, Auchan, and E. Leclerc’s versions that can also be found as standalone locations.

What are the Offers

Intermarche’s click & collect service offers customers access to over 10,000 products through www.ledriveintermarche.com.   The retailer sells its items in-store and through the click & collect service at the same price.  So, customers can receive the added convenience and efficiency provided by the service without and extra fees.

This is a key factor in the success of the Drives, as not all of them offer this capability.

Le Drive - How it Works

How Le Drive Works

Customers place their orders online, select their Le Drive location, then pick-up their items in the 2-hour window of their preference.  Once at the Le Drive location, customers can use the credit card used to place the order, or a barcode received at the time of purchase to bring up their order.

While the basket is pre-assembled before the customer arrives to pick-up, they still have the option to add items to their list at the drive location.

Today there are 59 Le Drive stores throughout France.
